Objectives:
The fundamental objective of the project is for the peer review method to be established in various European Union countries in various fields of education as an effective method in ensuring the quality of education.
Description:
The Peer Review Extended II project represents the third extension of the initial Peer Review project. In the initial phase the project was aimed primarily at developing the peer review methodology and at producing a manual with a description of the relevant methodology. In the second phase the emphasis was on pilot implementation of peer review procedures.
Content:

In the third phase, represented by this project just started,

  • the peer review method should be expanded to the new countries of the European Union;
  • the basic manual, which in the initial phase was created for the area of initiated vocational education and training, would be adapted for the area of further vocational education and the area of guidance in adult education;
  • the programme of training people who will act as evaluators (peers) should be improved and enhanced;
  • in Slovenia the peer review method will undergo pilot testing in processes of assessment and quality development in the ISIO guidance centres. We will use it as an external element, which will still be embedded in the processes of self-evaluation performed by experts at the guidance centres.

We are celebrating two decades of creative work and cooperation in adult education and learning.
